Mr. Alpert has been a Registered Investment Advisor since 2001, providing investment and wealth management services to individuals, families and small businesses. Mr. Alpert manages the firm and is the portfolio manager for the Dividend Growth Portfolio. He is responsible for setting the overall direction and product strategy for the firm, chairs the weekly investment committee meeting and serves institutional clients.
Mr. Alpert received his B.A. in political science and economics from the Colorado College. An ex-professional mountain guide, in 1998 he became the youngest American to summit Mount Everest via the North Ridge.
Mr. Richards joined Raub Brock Capital Management in 2017 and is primarily responsible for investment research, portfolio monitoring and providing company and industry research information to the Investment Committee.
He has over 18 years of research experience, including nine years as an Analyst at Fred Alger Management in New York City and four years as an Assistant Economist at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington DC.
Mr. Richards is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA institute. He earned a B.A. in Math and Economics from Saint Olaf College and an M.B.A. in Finance from Georgetown University.
Mr. Norman joined Raub Brock in 2015 and is responsible for all trading and back-office operations of the firm. He also oversees the firm’s portfolio composites and GIPS® verification.
He has over 11 years of trading and operational experience. Prior to Raub Brock, Mr. Norman ran the trading desk at Lateef Investment Management.
He received his B.A. and M.B.A. from Dominican University of California in Finance and Global Strategic Management respectively.
Mr. Norman is a Private Pilot and a lifelong musician.
Ms. Gross joined Raub Brock Capital Management in 2017 and assists private clients with financial planning, advising, and tax planning. She also supports the firm’s trading and back office operations areas. She has worked in financial services for the past 15 years, as a tax preparer and advisor, and in various financial planning, operational, and advisory roles.
Ms. Gross is a Certified Financial Planner™ and also an IRS Enrolled Agent, and is a member of the Financial Planning Association of San Francisco. She received her B.A. degree from the University of California at Berkeley, and earned her Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. She has two children and has lived in Marin for many years.
Ms. Phillippay has worked with Raub Brock since 2007 and has provided legal and compliance counseling to SEC registered investment advisors for over twenty years. She spent her early career in business, securities, First Amendment and entertainment litigation at the New York-based law firm of Finley, Kumble, Wagner, et al. and later at the Los Angeles firm of Glaser, Weil, Fink, Jacobs, Howard & Shapiro. Upon moving back to the Bay Area she spent several years as in-house counsel at Pacific Exchange, Inc., where she provided legal counsel to the Board of Governors, the Ethics and Business Conduct (member disciplinary) Committee, the Floor Trading Committees and the Membership Committee. Ms. Phillippay is a practicing attorney, licensed in California and holds a law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Environmental Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Mr. Raub has been a Registered Investment Adviser since 1990, providing financial planning and investment management services to individuals, trusts and small businesses, and for almost 25 years, he led the development of the Dividend Growth Portfolio
A graduate of Harvard Law School, Mr. Raub is an Accredited Estate Planner® and has long been an active member of the Marin County Estate Planning Council.
During the 1990s, Mr. Raub served for eight years as a Councilmember and Mayor of Mill Valley, California, during which time he spearheaded innovative and fiscally responsible financing of municipal projects.
